MOCAheart measures your heart rate, blood oxygen level, and MOCA INDEX. MOCA INDEX is a qualitative measurement derived from blood velocity and is correlated to blood pressure.

MOCAheart is a consumer health electronics device that does not offer medical recommendations and it is not used to diagnose or treat a medical condition and therefore does not require FDA approval or clearance based on the FDA guidance for mobile medical applications. MOCACARE does plan to pursue FDA clearance in the future in order to enhance its offering using the data collected from MOCAheart for a clinical indication for use.

The MOCAheart device and the micro USB cable are considered electronic waste and should not be disposed of as common household waste. Please be aware that improper disposal of e-waste may cause serious health and pollution problems. It should be disposed of at a local e-waste collection site or in compliance with local regulations. Please also ensure that you recycle the phone case and the keychain properly.

MOCAheart fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. It measures 1.42” x 2.81” x 0.28” (36.0 width x 71.5 long x 7.05 mm thick).

The face of MOCAheart is all stainless steel and the PVC back panel is an ivory color. In the future, the design team plans to add more color options for the back panel. We will keep you posted as new colors become available!

No! MOCAheart is not waterproof. Please do not expose the unit to liquid (including water). Do not use MOCAheart in extremely humid environments like saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs.

To begin measuring, you need to connect the MOCAheart device to your smartphone.
1) Turn on your phone's Bluetooth.
2) Sign up for an account using the MOCAheart app.
3) Fill in the required profile information. You will now be able to use the device and begin measuring.

Lightly place your thumbs on MOCAheart to activate the measurement feature. Your results will appear after 25 seconds of measuring.

MOCAheart should not be used with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. Do not use the device during an MRI scan or in the presence of flammable anesthetics, drugs, or pressurized oxygen.

The battery may be depleted and needs to be recharged. If the light still doesn't work after charging your device, the bulb may have burned out. If this occurs, please send your device to an authorized service center. Do not try to repair the device yourself.

When battery power is low, the light will flash to alert you. Please charge the device immediately.

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean your MOCAheart. To remove stains, use a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or alcohol.

MOCAheart's main sensor is extremely sensitive to liquids. Liquids will damage the sensor and render it unusable. Keep the device away from water and moisture. Do not drop MOCAheart or subject it to strong shocks or vibrations. Do not press the sensor with extreme force.

The battery lasts for 7 days with regular use (about 3 – 5 measurements per day), and recharges in 40~60 minutes using a microUSB cable (included).

When the battery indicator on the MOCAheart app shows a low battery level or the light on the device keeps flashing, please charge your device as soon as possible. Do not leave it uncharged for more than a short period of time.

In standby mode, the battery consumption is 0.02Wh, low enough that the device needs to be charged only once a week.

MOCA INDEX is a qualitative measurement of your blood flow correlated to your blood pressure.

MOCA INDX is based on the estimated blood velocity measurement; the speed at which blood flows through your vascular system (related to blood pressure yet based on a different physiological parameter).

No. MOCAheart is designed to support your doctors, not replace to them. It is a tool that empowers you with information about your cardiovascular health. It will record, display, and store your health data. It does not diagnose a condition or prescribe treatment or medication. Please be responsible and see your doctor as you normally would.

Measure your cardiovascular health any time you're curious about your heart. It’s good to take measurement at least once a day during the same time, under similar conditions to better understand the pattern of your MOCA INDEX, heart rate, and blood oxygen level.

Your measurement results can only be seen by people who you've accepted or requested as a contact in the MOCAheart app.

Absolutely! In the MOCAheart app, you can send the invitations to contacts, allowing them see your measurements and trends. However, MOCAheart is more valuable if you allow close family contacts and/or health providers to view your results.
